I can afford eggs at $3 per dozen or $6 per dozen or $10 per dozen. I am certainly not wealthy by any measure, but I can choose to spend whatever I want for eggs, or I can choose not to buy eggs at all.
The price of eggs has become kind of a shorthand way of assessing the state of grocery prices in general. There is no doubt a trip to the grocery store costs more nowadays. However, the Criminal-in-Chief says it’s not his fault.
It never is, according to him and his slow-witted cultists.
In the Convicted Felon’s world, when something goes wrong, it is always someone else’s fault. It’s Joe Biden’s fault, it’s the fault of the greedy egg producers, it’s God’s fault, it’s the fault of those damn chickens. You get the idea.
Maybe, in all fairness, the price of eggs would be beyond the control of anyone sitting in the Oval Office. Millions of chickens have been slaughtered due to a bird flu outbreak, which has to have an adverse affect on egg prices. Apparently, when assigning blame for the high price of eggs, the bird flu excuse does not apply before January 20th, at least according to the MAGA morons.
Look, I’ve got no problem with blaming Joe Biden for the price of eggs if he, indeed, screwed this up somehow. But, that’s not what this is about. I know I’ve touched on this before, but this is about the Lying Liar not doing what he said he would do. He blamed high prices on Biden and said he would bring grocery prices down immediately. He said it unequivocally and without qualification.
But he didn’t do it.
If bringing prices down was so easy, why hasn’t the Convicted Felon done it? Does he get a pass because bragging and exaggerating and lying is what he always does? So he was only playing to his idiot cult members, and regular folks should not take him literally?
There were many of us who understood his statement on groceries to be more of his braggy bullshit. But, should the Criminal-in-Chief not be held accountable for the things he has said? Why couldn’t he simply have been honest for once in his miserable life? What he could have said is, “The price of groceries is too high and on Day One, I will implement a plan to bring prices down. It’ll take time, but we’ll get it done.” That would have been a reasonable statement. However, the Convicted Felon is totally incapable of being reasonable or honest, no matter the situation.
But, here’s the thing. I am sick and tired of the Convicted Criminal evading responsibility for his actions. I am sick and tired of everything being Biden’s fault, or Obama’s fault, or Hillary’s fault. I am sick and tired of women being at fault, of people of color being at fault, of liberals being at fault, of immigrants being at fault, of gay people being at fault, of poor people being at fault.
And, I’m sick to death of his constant baseless boasting. Everything he does is the biggest, the greatest, the most fantastic thing the world has ever seen. His pronouncements would be laughable if they weren’t so pathetic.
I am not an economist, but I can’t see how the Orange Idiot’s stupid tariffs will not fuck up our economy. How are a tanking stock market and a global trade war to our benefit?

The Moron-in-Chief claims tariffs are paid for by foreign countries. That is a lie. American importers pay the tariffs, with the money collected going to the US Treasury. Then, of course, those companies pass the higher costs on to their customers in the form of higher prices.
It is true that tariffs hurt foreign countries by making their products more costly and harder to sell, but any economist will tell you that ultimately consumers pay for tariffs. Levying tariffs on imported goods is like increasing the sales tax. So, anyone who voted for the Felon, voted for a big fat tax increase. Nice going, you dopes.
And who does a sales tax affect the most? Why it’s the middle and lower economic classes, of course. The rich? Oh, they might lose some money on paper when the stock market craters, but not to worry, they’ll be just fine. They’ll still have plenty.
Sure, we should have trade agreements with our allies that are fair and equitable for both sides. However, having friends in the world is about more than the bottom line on a balance sheet. To the Criminal-in-Chief, though, everything is about money. Such an approach is ignorant, shortsighted and dumb. The best defense America has ever had, is having allies on every continent, standing between us and our enemies. If we alienate all our friends, then we’ll be surrounded by enemies. How would that be good for America?
And, by the way, we are still waiting for the Lying Liar to end the war in Ukraine. He said as far back as May of 2023:
“They’re dying, Russians and Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. And I’ll have that done — I’ll have that done in 24 hours.”
Another time he said he’d end the war on Day One, if not before.
Nope.
In fact, he has made it worse. Remember his disgraceful Oval Office ambush of the Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which was aided and abetted by the Convicted Criminal’s VP stooge? He wanted to show the MAGA cultists what a big, tough man he is by bullying Zelenskyy. And, for him to claim the war is Ukraine’s fault, when the whole world knows the truth, is just stupid.
To brazenly quote myself, here’s a comment I made on someone else’s Substack:
That Oval Office ambush was a shameful set up from the very beginning. It was an appalling performance, meant only for the Criminal-in-Chief's sweetheart, Vlad, and the MAGA morons. I wouldn’t be surprised if afterward, the Convicted Felon called his Russian hero and they engaged in a round of celebratory phone sex. And the reactions of the Republican orangenosers was totally predictable. They simply did what they always do.
The Convicted Felon is only carrying out his master’s wishes. He’ll do what Putin wants him to do. So, he parrots Putin’s obvious lies about Ukraine. I bet Putin was beaming with pride when his boy bullied Zelenskyy as he did.
Meanwhile, Ukrainians continue to die for defending their country.
It is difficult to see how Ukraine can hold off the Russians without our help. Telling the Ukrainians to surrender and give Putin whatever he wants is not a “peace plan”. Obviously if Ukraine has to fight off two superpowers, their plight will become even more dire. And, you can bet Putin’s Pinocchio will claim credit for ending the war if Ukraine has to surrender to avoid annihilation.
By continuing to fight a powerful aggressor, the Ukrainians are proving that fighting for freedom is worth the cost. Which is something the Orange POTUS (Piece Of Totally Untruthful Shit) will never understand.
You know, the United States of America used to stand for freedom and democracy around the world. Other countries looked to us as a beacon of hope. Now, they see a disgraced America who cannot be trusted to honor its commitments.

The whole Zelensky thing in the Oval Office made me cringe. I was sick to my stomach watching them bully a man who was doing everything he could to keep his country together. It was shameful. And the fact that there was Russian journalists there filming the whole thing. That told me it was a planned hit job.
And the constant lying. I just don't understand how anybody could believe a word that comes out of his mouth. And when he says something abhorrent, they sane-wash it and say, "Oh, that's not what he really meant." Why would you vote for someone if you don't believe what they are saying in the first place? Much less put him in the most powerful office in the world? Sheer lunacy.
And nobody mentioned that during the Gilded Age that the rich were paying a lot more taxes. That's why the economy grew. The wealthy were paying more of their fair share, unlike today.
One of the most ridiculous things about the election is that people voted for Trump, then Googled, "What is a tariff." We are past the point of stupidity.
Sadly, this is all true and despicable. It is so far over the top I can't even consume it anymore. We live in "MAD MAGAZINE 2025"!!!
I would like to point out that the price of eggs, and chickens, btw, is due to the lack of regulations in the industrial farms that raise these poor feathered friends. There is no regulation to keep these industries clean and no regulations on the types of slaughtering methods that are used when they kill millions of these birds at once! Perhaps they are making money off of the feathers used in Caribbean Festivals?
Cruelty to animals has increased due to lack of regulations in slaughter houses...animals are not just killed, they are tortured first. Just check on how innocent horses are being treated. It's unbearable.....
