Thanks, Norm. I too share many of those ‘Underrated’ aspects of Life in this Modern World. I too try to use good grammar and punctuation. I actually proof-read and edit my texts and emails before I hit the Blue arrow. I am not always happy with what I have written due to missing something or failing to note where I could have done better before tapping ‘Send.’ I am disappointed that often my best efforts are either not remarked on or not appreciated.
Interestingly, I am technically not a ‘Boomer.’ Being born on New Year’s Eve in 1945, I missed the cut by one day. I like to think that I am the designated ‘Point Man’ of the Boomer Generation. Marching down Life’s highway out ahead of the huge formation behind me….carrying our flag for all behind to see, as I disappear over the crest of a rise in the road, hear me shout…”Follow me, boys, I can see the Sunrise 🌅 from here!”
Regards to Chester. Having a furry friend around is definitely one of Life’s great pleasures.
Thanks for the comment, Paul. And thanks for being the Point Man for us Boomers. Somebody’s got to lead the way, right? I’ll be happy to follow you into a beautiful, fiery sunrise. ✌️
This post has the feeling of "stopping and smell the roses." It is a way to pause and appreciate the small things in life that we take for granted.
Holding hands is a very nice thing with the right person. I agree it is underrated by today's standards. Sometimes just being with the person is all that's needed.
I will admit, I am a grammar snob. I have always been. I will edit and re-edit things, even after I publish them on Substack. I really does make a huge difference in how writing is perceived if it is done well.
Since I'm Gen X, I'll leave the Boomer discussion for those who know what it's like to be one.
Although I don't have an nightlights, I can see why they would be very useful. Especially for late light trips to the bathroom.
As for a bass guitarist, I 100% agree. I'm probably biased because my son has been playing bass guitar since he was 13 and he is very very good. I love listening to him play. Although he hasn't played for several years, he was one of the best players locally.
In the Spring and Summer is when I get to see the most sunrises. I also like the quiet time before the morning rush. I guess it's also the promise of a new day. As one of my coworkers like to say, "To see what fresh hell awaits."
You know, I constantly edit and re-edit my essays, and I get highly annoyed if a mistake sneaks through. I, too, have fixed stuff I’ve already published. You can’t just leave it out there, right?
I always appreciate your comments, Sarah. Hope you’re having a nice Spring weekend.
Yes, you have to fix the stuff that's just not right. It feels wrong not to.
Today was a beautiful day here. I spent more time outdoors admiring all the blooming flowers and trees. Spring is wonderful for gardeners. Hope you're enjoying your weekend as well.

This is so true, Norm. Thank you!
Thanks for reading my stuff, Frosty Mac. ✌️
