Will This Nightmare Ever End?
Just Have to be Patient, I Guess
Anyone who has read my stuff for any length of time, knows how I feel about the Lying Racist-in-Chief. I do not believe it is hyperbole to say his rise to power is the worst thing to happen to America in my lifetime.
I am old enough to remember Vietnam, the assassinations and riots of the 60s, Kent State, Watergate, the Ford, Carter, and Reagan years, Clinton’s impeachment, September 11, going to war in Iraq and Afghanistan. And, who could forget George W Bush cratering our economy?
What we have now is worse than any of those.
The damage the Insurrection-Inciting President has done to our institutions of government, to the rule of law, to our collective sense of fairness, honesty, and decency, to our allies around the world, to our trust in science, to our pride at being Americans, is incalculable.
I’m sure I am not the only person who is embarrassed, ashamed, and angry about what America has become, but at the moment, I don’t want to rehash all the horrible things the Lying Liar President has done to our country. Obviously that would take too much time and space.
However, what I do want to do is examine a few recent instances that have caused some of us to feel much shame and embarrassment at being citizens of a country that would elect such an addlebrained criminal to the highest office in the land.
The Norway Letter.
Recently, the Criminal President of the United States sent an incoherent and inappropriate letter to the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre. In the letter, the Criminal President blamed Norway for his aggressive stance on Greenland, saying that since Norway decided to not give him the Nobel Peace Prize, he no longer felt obliged to work for peace. Here is the full text of the letter:
Dear Jonas:
Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only a boat that landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT
Was this letter written by the President of the United States or an average 5th grader? What an embarrassment it is to have a President write such a juvenile, illogical note to another head of state. First of all, the Nobel Peace Prizes are not awarded by the Norwegian government, they are given by a separate entity, the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Complaining to Norway about not getting a Nobel is akin to complaining to California about not getting an Oscar.
And, by the way, what does he think Norway has to do with Greenland anyway? What a dumbass.
The Convicted Criminal’s claim that he has done more for NATO than anybody, is laughable. He has done more -to- NATO than anybody, would have been a more accurate statement.
It is very embarrassing to America and Americans when the Moron President whines about his personal grievances to the rest of the world. He is all butthurt because Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize and he has not, and hopefully never will. Apparently, he is clueless that campaigning for such a prestigious award makes him look unworthy, desperate, and weak. I guess getting the FIFA Peace Prize has not filled the deep void within him.
Accepting Someone Else’s Nobel Peace Prize.
Venezuelan opposition leader, María Corina Machado, in an unprecedented ass kiss, gave her 2025 Nobel Peace Prize medal to America’s Criminal President at a White House meeting in January, which he accepted with obvious glee. This was a less-than-subtle attempt to curry favor with the easily swayed, unstable American president in the aftermath of the kidnapping of Venezuela’s despotic leader, Nicolás Maduro, by American forces in early January.
Machado played on the Criminal-in-Chief’s obvious obsession over the Nobel Peace Prize he’s never going to get, in hopes of her opposition group receiving American support to eventually rule Venezuela post-Maduro.
The Nobel Prizes are not transferable, of course. Happily accepting someone else’s Nobel medal as a gift does not make one a Nobel winner. In fact, only a real loser would accept such a gift. It is overwhelmingly pathetic.
Greenland and Iceland Are Not the Same Place.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Jan. 21, 2026, the Addlebrained American President gave another one of his rambling, nonsensical, full-of-lies speeches that must have confused and alarmed the international attendees. They had to have wondered how Americans could have chosen such a person to be their President, who was so obviously unfit for the job. (Many Americans wonder that, too.)
The speech was filled with the usual lies, inaccuracies, and bullshit. I will not attempt to fact check the whole speech, I’ll just point out one passage which shows his brain is deteriorating rapidly. He confused Iceland for Greenland. Four times.
Now, to be fair, I often misspeak. I have said one thing when I meant something else. Happens to everyone as we get older, unfortunately. But, I don’t know, four times in the same speech? By someone who is so perfect and infallible that he never makes a mistake? Can you imagine the uproar if Joe Biden had done that?
Who knows, maybe the Orange Moron thinks Greenland and Iceland actually are the same place.
It was almost funny when White House Press Secretary Karolyin’ Leavitt had to deny to the press that her perfect president had made a mistake. She knew her ass would have been fired if she had admitted that he goofed up. But since the whole mess of a speech was on video, she had to try to convince everyone not to believe their lying ears and eyes.
I admit to being highly amused when the Grifter-in-Chief fucks up and is called out on it. But, when I have a moment to reflect on the bigger picture and how America must seem to the world when he is out there representing us, it doesn’t seem so amusing.
I just feel shame.
The Acer of Many Tests.
President Dim-Bulb often brags about his overall health, especially his mental acuity. Here’s a typical quote:
“I’ve taken now three cognitive tests. I’ve aced every single one of them.”
Many folks have wondered, if his mental health is so “perfect”, why is he being tested so often? What are they not telling us?
It is common knowledge that his father had Alzheimer’s. And, you know, the rambling, incoherent speeches, the erratic behavior, the rage posting on Lies Unsocial in the middle of the night, the inability to stay awake at meetings, only increases speculation about the seemingly unstable President’s mental health.
In a recent interview with New York Magazine, while speaking about his father, the President who never makes a mistake said this:
“At a certain age, about 86, 87, he started getting, what do they call it?” he asked, pointing to his forehead and looking toward White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
“Alzheimer’s,” Leavitt replied.
“Like an Alzheimer’s thing. Well, I don’t have it,” he said.
That he could not remember the word “Alzheimer’s” is kind of ironic, no?
It could have simply been a “senior moment” that happens to everyone. However, someone who presents himself as “perfect” is going to get criticized when he is not.
Look, there’s no shame in getting old. There’s no shame in not being as sharp mentally at age 80 than at age 40. However, the job of President of the United States requires that person to be sharp, mentally and physically. And there is much shame in covering up for a President who is not up to the job. If that is what Joe Biden and his people did, shame on them. And if that’s what the current President and his people are doing, shame on them, too.
The Racist Video.
On February 5th, the actual President of the actual United States posted a disgustingly vile, racist video on his failing social media platform, Lies Unsocial, which depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as apes.
Jesus Christ.
Need any more proof of his virulent racism? The video was taken down after the predictable and justifiable uproar, but it took them twelve hours to do so. The initial response was to send Karolyin’ Leavitt out for damage control. She said:
"This is from an internet meme video depicting (the President) as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King. Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”
Here’s what I say in response:
“The outrage is not fake and there were no apes in The Lion King, you fucking liar.”
Speaking of fucking liars, the Lying Racist-in-Chief, later claimed not to have seen the whole video, and it was posted to his account by a staffer, and it wasn’t his mistake so there was no reason for him to apologize. A few days later, he was asked if the staffer who had done this had been disciplined and he said no.
Is anyone surprised at any of this? I didn’t think so.
Unfortunately, this despicable episode will be just another outrage that will blend in with all the other outrages. Which may be the most disheartening and distressing aspect of it.
He Has Stolen Our Pride.
Even though America has always been far from perfect, many of us used to be proud Americans. The racist felon in the White House has stolen that from us.
How can we feel pride in our country when we have a President who embarrasses himself and all Americans every single day? How much pride can we feel when over 77 million of our fellow citizens voted for a lying, sexual-assaulting, riot-inciting, pedophile-protecting, addlebrained, convicted felon racist for President of the United States?
Will this nightmare ever end?

You're right. He is the worst of the worst.
I think we have put up with his chaos for so long that it's now seen as normal. I think that's why it's important that we have reminders, like this post, of just how screwed up this man is and the damage he has done to our country.
I can't imagine any other time in our nation's history that this type of behavior would not only be seen as acceptable, but have millions of people support it. In many cases, people double down and make justifications for him. It's really mind blowing to me that this is our reality.
The fact that I keep coming back to is that we didn't have to go through any of this madness. The Republican party has subjected the entire country to this dumpster fire that they could have put out months ago. They are complicit in every horrible thing Trump does. Some of them are trying to distance themselves from it, but the stain will never go away.
So embarrassing and unbelievable...
